Privacy Policy

Updated: October 10, 2026

Welcome to Randel! Randel is an app for organizing games, splitting teams, running tournaments and leagues, and tracking results and ratings. We respect our users’ privacy and think it is important that you know what information is kept, how it is used, who it is shared with and what options you have. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

1. Who we are and how to reach us

Randel is operated by Omry Arad ("we"). For privacy questions: randel.support@gmail.com.

2. Using the app without an account

You can use some features without creating an account. In guest mode, groups, players, activities and results are kept on the device only and are not synced to a cloud account.

Deleting the app may cause loss of the local information, and we cannot restore information that was not saved in the cloud or backed up separately.

3. Creating an account and signing in

You can create an account with external sign-in services the app supports, such as Google, and later Apple. When you sign in we may receive details such as your name, email address, account identifier and profile picture address. The app uses the name and email address to show you your account, and does not show or use the picture.

The information is used to identify the user, run the account and allow shared features. The app does not receive the password to your Google or Apple account. The authentication service may keep additional account details depending on what the sign-in provider passes on.

4. What information is kept?

Depending on what you do, the app may keep:

  • Account details and a display name.
  • Groups you create or join.
  • Players’ names and nicknames.
  • Group membership and management permissions.
  • Splits into teams and lineups.
  • Activities, tournaments and leagues.
  • Game results and activity history.
  • Ratings and statistics.
  • Invitations to groups and requests for approval or for linking players.
  • Information about result corrections.

5. How we use information

We use information to make Randel work, including managing accounts and groups, organizing games, showing results and ratings, and syncing between devices. Technical information needed to run the service may also be processed for security, user authentication and maintenance.

Randel has no ads, no cross-app tracking, no analytics system and no crash-monitoring tools. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers.

6. Who can see the information?

Information shared in a group is visible to its members: group members can see players’ names, results, activities, ratings and membership details. Group owners and admins get additional access to manage players, invitations, join requests and activities, according to the permissions set. Other users’ email addresses and sign-in details are not shown to group members.

Important to know: a player’s name can appear in a group even if that person never created an account in Randel, when a group member added them.

7. Where is the information stored?

Information for groups and signed-in accounts is stored using Supabase’s cloud infrastructure. Our database is in the Frankfurt region in Germany. Some information is also kept on the device, to work without an internet connection, for personal settings and for syncing.

External sign-in services, such as Google and later Apple, process information under their own privacy policies. Infrastructure providers may process and keep technical information needed to run the service, including access and security logs.

8. Exporting your data

In the app settings you can choose “Export my data”. You get a file with tables of the information relevant to your account, such as groups, players, activities, games, results and ratings. The export may include shared information of groups you belong to, including other players’ names as they appear in the group. It does not include sign-in details, passwords, invitation codes or other users’ email addresses.

If the cloud cannot be reached, the export is based only on the data available on the device; you will be told so, and the file says so too. You are responsible for keeping export files and for sharing them once they have been created.

9. Deleting your account

You can delete your account in the app settings. This is a significant action that cannot be undone once completed. On deletion, the account, the user profile, group memberships, link requests and the app’s data on the device are deleted, including export and backup files the app saved.

However, deleting your account does not necessarily delete all information about games you took part in. In shared groups, players’ names, results and game history may remain, so as not to harm the other members’ data. The link between the player and the deleted account is removed, but the player’s name may stay visible in the group, and the group’s admins can rename or delete it. Result correction logs may retain historical information, including technical identifiers created before the account was deleted. This information is retained to document changes to game results.

If you are the only member of a group, deleting your account also deletes the group, with all its players and results. The owner of a group with other members must hand over ownership before deleting the account.

Some information may remain for a limited period in backups or infrastructure systems. Files you downloaded or shared outside the app are not deleted by deleting the account.

10. Information security

We take technical measures meant to protect information, including encrypted connections and access restrictions by account, group membership and user permissions. Still, no digital service is completely immune to faults or security incidents. We recommend not entering sensitive personal information that is not needed to organize games.

11. Retention and backups

Information associated with accounts and groups is retained for as long as it is needed to operate the service, in accordance with users’ activity and the deletion policy.

The app uses Supabase’s cloud infrastructure. Under the current plan, we do not have access to an automatic database backup and restoration service. We may create manual backups from time to time for maintenance and to keep the service operating properly.

Information deleted from the live system may remain for some time in manual backups or in the service provider’s infrastructure systems. You can contact us with questions about this at the email address provided in this policy.

12. Users’ rights

Under the applicable law, you can contact us with requests about personal information, including access, correction and deletion. Some actions can be done directly in the app: editing details, exporting data and deleting an account. For other requests: randel.support@gmail.com.

13. Use by minors

Randel is not specifically intended for children under 13. Do not create an account for a child under that age. Minor users must use the service in line with the law and any required consents.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy because of changes to the app, the services we use or legal requirements. For a material change we will let you know as needed and ask for your agreement again where required.
